Apple introduced the first phase of its Apple Intelligence initiative in October with iOS 18.1, bringing updates like a redesigned Siri interface, new Writing tools, and a Photos Clean-up feature. Now, Apple is expanding these capabilities with the upcoming release of iOS 18.2, reportedly targeted for December 2, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Although Apple has only confirmed a December release, industry sources suggest the first week of the month.
The iOS 18.2 update promises to enhance user experience with features such as ChatGPT integration in Siri, the new Genmoji, Image Playground, and Visual Intelligence, along with additional upgrades beyond Apple Intelligence.
Looking ahead, Gurman indicates that iOS 18.4, expected in April, will introduce further enhancements, including a Siri upgrade that allows the assistant to access data on users' screens and respond accordingly. For now, let’s focus on the exciting features iOS 18.2 is set to deliver.
