A Cultural extravaganza the Ladakh festival will take place from 21st to 24th September

The Ladakh Festival is a cultural spectacle that features traditional crafts, music, dance, and art from the area. It normally lasts for a few days in September (September 21–24, 2024). Leh town and the neighbouring environs (1-2 km from the town) will host the event, providing guests with a wide range of activities. Presented by the Tourism Department in collaboration with the community, the event seeks to highlight both the area's rich cultural heritage and tourism. 

There are several cultural events, including polo matches, folk dances, traditional music, Ladakhi cuisine, artisan goods, and archery contests. One of the festival's attractions is the mask dances.
