According to Manohar Naidu, president of the Book Festival Society, the 34th Vijayawada Book Festival will take place on the premises of Government Polytechnic College from December 28 to January 7. The event is scheduled to begin on December 28 and will likely be inaugurated by Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana and Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, according to festival planner Vijay Kumar.
At a press conference held here on Friday, Mr. Vijay Kumar provided details about the ten-day book festival. He stated that cultural events, seminars, and book releases will take place daily at the location, which is named after the late Varahalu Chetti Book Centre, Visakhapatnam. As per society secretary Lakshmaiah, attendees of the activities would include Chief Secretary K.S. Jawahar Reddy, former Chief Election Commissioner S.Y. Quraishi, and others.
Babji, the honorary head of the Book Festival Society, said that on January 1 there would be a "Walk for Books." Thousands of book enthusiasts, students, authors, and officials are expected to join in the walk, which is scheduled to take place from Siddhartha College to the Government Polytechnic College, according to Mr. Lakshmaiah.
