14th edition Hyderabad Literary Festival to be held between January 26-28 at Sattva Knowledge City in Hitech City

It is anticipated that the 14th edition of the Hyderabad Literary Festival (HLF), which will take place at Sattva Knowledge City in Hitech City on January 26–28, would transcend beyond literature. HLF has grown to become one of the largest cultural events in the city during the last 14 years.

Literature, Storytelling, Meet My Book, Culture, Indigenous and Endangered Languages, Kaavya Dhaara, Interlude, Moving Images, Nanha Nukkad, Youngistaan Nukkad, Climate Conversations, Science and The City, Stage Talks, Workshops, and Exhibitions are among the fifteen streams that will be offered during the three-day event.

This year's programme will include discussions on science and climate, in addition to the customary emphasis on literature, poetry, art, and culture. STEM booths, mobile scientific displays, and seminars will all be included. The new location of Sattva Knowledge City, a commercial park and futuristic centre for science and technology in the city, will coincide with talks by scientists, scientific journalists, and science fiction writers. The venue has been moved to a larger space, moving base from well-known locations like Vidyaranya High School, Hyderabad Public School (HPS), and Lamakaan, among others, in order to comfortably host the wide range of events and accommodate an estimated crowd of about 40,000 people, according to the organisers.

In accordance with the UN's declaration that this decade is the "International Decade of Indigenous Languages," the festival will feature talks by linguist Anvita Abbi on "Vanishing Voices of the Andamans," Adivasi poet and activist Jacinta Kerketta and journalist Nidhi Dugar Kundalia on "Articulating Adivasi Voices," Santali author Damayanti Beshra and journalist Kasturi Ray on "One Life in Two Languages: President Murmu in Santali and English," multilingual readings by Gond artists Durgabhai Vyam and Subhas Vyam, Santhali writer Hansda Sowvendra Shekhar, and several others.
