The Nilgiris district collector, M. Aruna, said that the 126th annual flower exhibition, which was originally slated to take place over five days starting on May 17, has been postponed to May 10.
The Election Commission of India was consulted specifically in order to arrange the flower display because of the model code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections.
The flower show is scheduled for May 10–May 20, rather than the previously planned dates. The yearly fruit show is scheduled for May 24–26 in Coonoor's Sims Park.
